Right now, I’ve got one major novel that’s falling into place. It’s cobbled together from bits and pieces of various short stories I came up with over the last four years and a world I originally fleshed out for a sociology project back in my sophomore year of college. The working title, at the moment, is “The Swords of the Ancients.” This is, as I said, a working title. I’m sure I’ll come up with something more accurate for the individual piece at some point. For now, though, the stories within the novel are these:
The Tale of Arsus and Rime
The Tale of Zachariah and Rebecca
The Tale of Landara and Miles
Each of these stories will be an ongoing part of the narrative. The stories of these characters will be told throughout the novel. None will be separate stories (this isn’t the Canterbury Tales, after all), but they will all provide insight into how things operate in this world.
Additionally, I’ve now been making some progress on a Lovecraftian narrative that could very well become a second novel. We’ll just have to wait and see.
