My name is Philip Krogmeier, and I welcome you to The Swords of the Ancients. This blog started as a way for me to keep track of several novels and numerous short stories in various stages of completion. Over the years, it transformed into a place where I mostly share book reviews and bits of poetry and microfiction. Whether you made your way here intentionally, perhaps via an invitation from myself or a friend, or if you came across my work via social media, or you just happened to find me, I bid you a warm welcome.   2. Hi,

    I’ve been talking to Thomas Marlowe and we are both missing the Trifecta Challenge. One thing led to another and we have decided to set up Light and Shade Challenge where there are prompts twice every week and a chance to share what inspiration strikes.

    We are not trying to be the same as Trifecta. They were awesome and I miss them. We do have some really exciting ideas of our own, though and can’t wait to see what happens.
